Reset iPod Touch, iPad or iPhone

Prior to turning in or transferring ownership of an iPod Touch, iPad or iPhone.

On your device, open "Settings" (these instructions may differ based on the generation and IOS of your device)

  • Touch "General"
  • In the right column, scroll to the bottom and touch "Reset"
  • Touch "Erase All Content and Settings"
    • Erase iPad - delete all media and data, reset all settings
      • Touch "Erase"
    • Erase iPad - This cannot be undone
      • Touch "Erase"
  • When prompted for "Apple ID Password
    • Enter your iCloud password and touch "Erase"
